Personal Tour Director: Each tour is conducted by an English speaking tour director who remains with the individual or group for the duration of the guided portion of the tour. Lodging: Accommodations are inclusive from Iqaluit. Meals: Most meals are inclusive from Iqaluit. We may be able to accommodate some dietary restrictions. Transportation: Tour prices include all transportation from Ottawa. Personal Expenses: Such as phone calls, room service, airline excess baggage charges, and other incidentals are not included. Passports: U.S. Citizens need a valid passport. Non-U.S. Citizens please check with the appropriate consulate for entry and/or visa requirements. Deposits: A 25% deposit is required to ensure trip logistics and planning are put in place. Full payment is due 60 days prior to the trip departure. A signed release and indemnity statement (provided by Freedom ONE, Inc.) must accompany final payment. Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be in writing and received at our office in Newmarket, NH. Any cancellation is unfortunate, but we incur expenses long before your trip departure therefore a $250 per person administrative charge is applied to all cancellations. The balance of your trip fee, minus the administrative fee (computed as of the date we receive your written notification of cancellation) will be refunded according to the following: 1. Cancellation received more than 90 days before departure: full refund less $250 per person. 2. 90-60 days: a 75% refund. 3. 59-30 days: a 50% refund. 4. 29-15 days: a 25% refund. 5. 14 days or less: no refund. Currency Exchange: Most credit cards are accepted in Iqaluit. It is advisable to arrive with U.S. or Canadian currency. Membership/Health: Participants must be able to participate in tour activities. All participants are expected to be in good health, enjoy traveling as part of a group and be ready to experience cultural differences with grace. Children On Tours: Unaccompanied minors under 18 years of age cannot be accepted on any tour, and children under the age of 12 cannot be accepted. Responsibility: Freedom ONE, Inc. and/or their agents, suppliers and their representatives, reserve the right to make changes without notice in services, itinerary and prices. Freedom ONE, Inc. has a continuing commitment to improving the standards and quality of our tours. Freedom ONE, Inc. and/or their agents, suppliers and their representatives, cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal possessions. Freedom ONE, Inc. and/or their agents, suppliers and their representatives, act solely as tour operators and assume no liability for injury, death, damage, accidents, delays or losses as a result of third-party negligence or loss occasioned by neglect, default, strike, war, hostility, police action, civil disturbance, or any act resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God. Optional insurance is recommended. Freedom ONE, Inc. is not responsible for additional charges or increased costs incurred by passengers as a result of cancellation of services due to be provided by their agents/suppliers for any reason. Should the trip schedule be delayed due to weather, the traveler(s) is/are responsible for additional overnights, meals, etc. If the trip is extended or shortened on the traveler's request, all charges accruing because of that change become the traveler's financial responsibility, as well as penalty fees for airline changes. No reimbursement is given for such occurrences. Should illness or safety necessitate the evacuation of one or more participants, evacuation expenses will be paid by the individual(s) involved. Travelers on Freedom ONE tours should purchase travel insurance covering expenses related to healthcare services and changes in travel. Nunavut does have a hospital located in Iqaluit, however this facility can be hours or even days from the remote locations of our tours. Should Freedom ONE Inc. cancel a trip prior to departure, you are entitled to a refund of all monies received by Freedom ONE, Inc. from you and this constitutes a full and final settlement of claims that you may have against Freedom ONE, Inc. for such a cancellation of the tour. Freedom ONE, Inc. is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members such as non refundable airline tickets, credit card fees, equipment rental fees, etc.
Weather Policy and Travel in the Arctic: Participants must be aware that travel in the Arctic is extremely weather dependent. Conditions can occur to prevent the normal departure of our trips. This is also true of the chartered planes and the transportation methods we use to bring you out on the land, such as, dog teams, snowmobiles, kayaks, skis, boats, etc. and that weather plays an important part in the decision to travel. If such delays occur, it is for the safety and well being of those traveling. There will be no partial refunds for unused hotel rooms, outfitting trip arrangements, transportation, meals, etc. for any reason whatsoever. There will also be no refunds for any unused portion of any trip if you decide to leave early, or are forced to leave early due to illness or injury or you are requested to do so by Freedom ONE, Inc. staff for any reason whatsoever. It should be noted that if any of the foregoing occurred, you may incur additional costs not included in the trip fee. These may include but are not limited to, additional meals and room costs, medical fees, air fares and more. You would in such a case be responsible for any additional fees at the time they occur.
